Got to Dance winner Lukas McFarlane to launch Dance Proms 2014 at Capezio’s flagship store in Covent Garden this Saturday 

Got to Dance winner Lukas McFarlane will join Capezio’s interactive window display on Saturday 18 October to officially launch Dance Proms 2014.

Dance Proms performers,  from the Susan Robinson School of Ballet in Surrey, Arts Ed Youth Dance Company in Chiswick and The Centre - Performing Arts College in Kent will become live dancing mannequins for the day.

They will bring the shop window to life with ballet, contemporary and neo-classical routines throughout the day, as they model Capezio’s wide ranging dancewear.

A spokesperson for Capezio said:

“We are delighted to launch Dance Proms 2014 in style with Lukas McFarlane and talented young dance students. Our dancing shop windows will showcase the skills of the students and bring our range to life. We are looking forward to spreading the joy of dance to shoppers and passers-by, in celebration of the big event November.”

Lukas McFarlane, said: “I’m looking forward to meeting the students who will be performing this year, and joining in the dancing windows show.  I can’t wait to watch people’s reactions when they see live dancing mannequins! It’s going to a lot of fun, don’t miss it!’

The performances will offer a glimpse of some of the dance styles being performed at Dance Proms, the annual international youth dance showcase at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 2 November 2014.
